New York City's Ghost Bikes Honor Cyclists and Pedestrians Killed by Cars
Tue, 01/08/2008 - 15:00
At least 2,000 pedestrians and 300 cyclists have been killed on the streets of New York City in the past 12 years. In this same time span more than 150,000 cyclists and pedestrians have been injured in motor vehicle collisions. Seeking to honor those who have died while raising awareness around cycling and pedestrian issues, hundreds of people participated in a Street Memorial Ride in NYC.
