Libertarian Ready to Chose Their Presidential Nominee
The Libertarian Convention has begun. Up to 1000 delegates have convened in Denver to pick their Presidential Candidate. The Libertarian Party is filled with major party defectors, disillusioned with the direction of the party they used to pay allegiance. One of this is former Alaska Senator and 2008 Democratic Presidential candidate Mike Gravel. Gravel left the Democratic party in March after gaining little traction and being excluded from national debates. Gravel, who supports a fair tax and a referendum to take representation from Congress and give it to the people, admits that Libertarian delegates might be concerned about the libertarian credentials of a former Democrat. We spoke with Gravel before he headed to Colorado for the convention.
