Ponniah Manikavasagam

Ponniah Manikavasagam is the FSRN correspondent in Sir Lanka. He reports from the war torn northern town of Vavuniya since 2002. He is a veteran print and radio journalist. He is covering northern Sri Lanka for BBC Tamil Section for over 15 years. He has reported for Reuters for over 10 years while the Indian Peace Keeping Force was sent to Sri Lanka in 1987.


Shahnawaz Khan

Shahnawaz Khan is the Kashmir correspondent for Free Speech Radio News. A print and radio journalist based in the summer capital Sriangar of Indian-administered Kashmir, Shahnawaz has been reporting from the region for FSRN since 2003. He is also an editorial board member of the online news portal Kashmir Newz ( www.kashmirnewz.com ).


PC Dubey

PC Dubey (Prakash Chand Dubey) was born in 1957 in India’s Bihar state. He has a doctorate in international politics from Delhi-based Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), a post-graduate diploma in journalism from Delhi-based Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) and is a law graduate from Bihar University. He works in radio, photo and print journalism covering north India and the bordering countries like Nepal, Bhutan, Tibet (China), Bangladesh and Myanmar. He is married to Meena Dubey, a teacher, and has a daughter, Ruchika Rani and a son, Rituraj.


Claudia Cragg

Claudia Cragg has been a foreign correspondent specializing in the Asia Pacific for nearly 30 years. She is author of several books including 'The New Taipans' and 'The New Maharajahs' published by Random House UK.


Ronald Aung Naing

Ronald Aung Naing was born in Rangoon, Burma in 1967. He was studying medicine at Institute of Medicine Mandalay when the countrywide demonstration broke out against the military regime in Burma. He joined the demonstration as a student activist. Then, he was an exiled activist since 1989 till 2000. He started working as journalist since 2001.
