Friday night's debate at the University of Mississippi, Oxford offered few sparks and few shining moments for the two major party candidates John McCain and Barack Obama. Topics discussed did not veer from the current economic crisis and current wars the US is either involved in or has a strategic interest in. The continents of South America and Africa were not mentioned. Neither was Guantanamo Bay, secret US prisons, expansion of US bases into Africa, permanent bases in Iraq and a slue of other US foreign policies.
