In Wednesday night's debate, the candidates sparred over negative campaign tactics.  John McCain criticized Obama for not repudiating the comments of Georgia Representative and civil rights icon John Lewis for comparing McCain to segregationist Governor George Wallace because of language McCain supporters used at his rallies.  Obama says language like "kill him" and "terrorist" was troubling and said the comparison want too far. Michael Faunteroy, Assistant Professor of Public Policy George Mason University and author of "Republicans and the Black Vote" joins us to talk about the latest campaign rhetoric.

The Senate Banking Committee held a hearing today to investigate the reasons behind Wall Street's massive crash yesterday – its second biggest drop in history. The Committee wants to explore the causes of the economic crisis, and move towards restoring stability. Some of those appearing before the Senators say minorities and low income borrowers did not cause the meltdown – but rather Wall Street's predatory lending and Washington's deregulation.
