EARTHQUAKE DEATH TOLL
The death toll in the October 8 quake in Kashmir has soared to over 50,000. The Prime Minister of Pakistan administered Kashmir said the toll could rise to 70,000. Cut off by landslides, many affected villages are still inaccessible in both sides of Kashmir. Bad weather is adding to the difficulties of rescuers and survivors alike.
